Hello Everyone!
I wanted to make sure you all are aware of the masterclass taking place this Friday, 1/29 from 6-7:30. It is free and open to the public.
I am always thrilled to be able to bring amazing artists to the studio. Hearing from people who have succeeded in the field that we all love and many of us aspire to work in is so important for us all. Peter is a very well rounded artist and will have a lot of insight into the current state of the performing world. He will be working with 5 of our studio students and will talk specifically about how to stay true to yourself artistically in today's world.
I can't stress enough how lucky we are to have him and how important it is to join us.

Lesson and class update 4/11

There is still no power or cell service where Chana and Kate are teaching from in Orono, so there is no studio class tonight at 5:00 and no lessons with Chana. Phil, the kids and I will still be broadcasting our Live Stream Quarantine Concert though, so there is plenty of fun to be had at 7:00 tonight! See you online!

Vocal Technique Masterclass with Tina and Phil Burns.
Vocal freedom begins in the body. This masterclass will focus on identifying tensions in the body that limit vocal freedom and how to release them. We will work the physical vocal connection to the breath and bring awareness to balancing the structures that support healthy singing.

ACTING IN SONG...I can't tell you how excited we are to offer a 4 week collaborative workshop series! Facilitated by Claire Thompson, Tina Cote Burns and Philip Burns, Burns Music Studio presents this series for ages 14 and up or special permission. It is a time to get together with your friends and share ideas, techniques, improv, move and sing together! I know everyone is very busy and I know how stressful it can be to add another thing to your schedule. But THIS...THIS is something to look forward to, a time to refresh, create, get grounded, have tea and be together as a community of young artists! Masterclass with Lori L'Italien from Boston Conservatory

Phil and I are excited to offer an opportunity for students of Burns Music Studio to participate in a vocal masterclass with Lori L'italien from Boston Conservatory and Lasell College. All students are strongly encouraged to attend Lori's masterclass Saturday October 6th at 5:00 PM in Minsky recital hall at the University of Maine School of Performing Arts. All ages welcome. A small donation at the door is appreciated to help support value added program offerings from Burns Music Studio.
